As a Full-Time School Braille Specialist you will be an essential part of our commitment to providing accessible education for all students. Your expertise in Braille will play a critical role in supporting a young student's educational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one instruction to the kindergarten student in Braille literacy.
- Create and adapt Braille materials and resources to facilitate the student's learning.
- Collaborate with the classroom teacher and special education team to ensure the student's needs are met.
- Monitor the student's progress and adjust instruction as necessary.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Braille certification or expertise in Braille instruction.
- Previous experience working with students with visual impairments is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Dedication to promoting inclusive education and fostering student success.
