ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a full-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired to work in Salem, OR. The ideal candidate will have an O and M certification and experience working with visually impaired students. As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, you will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students with visual impairments, ensuring their success in the classroom.

Pay:

  • $28 - $35 an hour (pending experience and school budget)

Duration:

  • Remainder of the 2022-2023 school year with a possible extension for the 2023-2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with students with visual impairments to provide instructional support
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for each student
  • Use assistive technology and other accommodations to support student learning
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure student success
  • Participate in professional development and training as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • O and M certification required
  • Experience working with visually impaired students preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
