Blazerjobs, in partnership with the Kingman school district, is pleased to announce a full-time opening for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI). We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional who is passionate about providing specialized education and support to students with visual impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialized Instruction: Provide individualized instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their unique learning needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate educational plans for students.
- Assessment: Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and progress, adjusting instructional strategies accordingly.
- Braille Proficiency: Provide instruction in Braille reading and writing, ensuring students have the necessary skills for academic success.
- Advocacy: Advocate for students’ needs and accommodations, promoting an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Experience: Previous experience working with students with visual impairments is preferred.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching techniques to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborative Spirit: Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
