Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in Westport, MA. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educational teams, including teachers, therapists, and parents.
- Assess and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of visually impaired students.
- Support students in learning critical life and mobility skills.
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification.
- State licensure in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience working with visually impaired students is a plus.
