ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired to join our dynamic educational team. As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, you will play a pivotal role in creating and implementing specialized educational plans, providing instruction, and offering support to students with visual impairments. You will collaborate with other educators, families, and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for working with students with visual impairments.

Job Details
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Provide direct instruction in specialized areas such as Braille literacy, orientation, and mobility skills.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other professionals to modify curriculum and materials to meet the needs of visually impaired students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' educational needs and progress.
- Offer guidance and support to families and caregivers on strategies to facilitate learning and independence.
- Utilize assistive technology and adaptive equipment to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services provided.
