Job Details
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dynamic and caring Teacher of the Visually Impaired to provide specialized educational services to students with visual impairments, helping them access the curriculum and develop the skills they need to thrive academically and in life. As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will work closely with students, families, and a team of professionals to facilitate their growth and independence.
Job requirements- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education with a focus on visual impairment.
- Valid Illinois Teaching Certificate with a specialization in Visual Impairments.
- Fingerprint Screening
- TB Test
- Knowledge of Braille and other specialized teaching techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based educational environment.

Job Details
- Assess the unique educational needs of students with visual impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
- Provide direct instruction, including braille, adaptive technology, and other specialized materials.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure the inclusion and success of visually impaired students in the general education environment.
