Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Part-Time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team in Carlsbad, NM. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a very part-time commitment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments.
- Conduct assessments to determine students' educational needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with educational teams, parents, and support staff.
- Utilize virtual platforms for remote instruction (VOCO) if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Experience working with students with visual impairments.
- Knowledge of braille and adaptive technology is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work very part-time (7.5 hours per week or 1 day per week).
