ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated PreK-12 Teacher for the Visually Impaired to join our team in Elk Grove, CA. As a crucial member of our educational community, you will work directly with students who have visual impairments, providing specialized instruction and support to ensure their academic and personal growth.
Job requirements- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in Visual Impairments or willingness to obtain certification.
- Fingerprint Screening
- Experience working with students who are visually impaired or blind.
- Proficiency in Braille and adaptive technology.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Job Details
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of visually impaired students.
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, adaptive technology, orientation and mobility, and other specialized skills.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the integration of visually impaired students into the general curriculum.
