Location: Philadelphia, PA | 2025–2026 School Year | Special Education Setting
Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with a trusted school district in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area, is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time position for the 2025–2026 school year. This role is dedicated to supporting students with visual impairments in a special education setting and plays a vital part in their academic and developmental success.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet all state and district requirements, including:

Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate
-
Certification in Teaching Students with Visual Impairments (TVI)
-
Compliance with all Pennsylvania Department of Education background checks and clearances
-
At least 1 year of prior experience working with students who are blind or visually impaired (preferred)

Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with IEP goals
-
Modify and adapt curriculum to meet the unique learning needs of visually impaired students

Provide training and support in Braille, assistive technology, orientation and mobility, and independent living skills
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
-
Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Advocate for accommodations, accessibility, and inclusion within the school environment

Monitor and document student progress and maintain detailed records
