Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired looking for an opportunity to empower students with visual impairments? As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments
- Provide instruction in braille, adaptive technology, and orientation and mobility skills
- Collaborate with students, parents, and educational teams to ensure success
- Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Continuously assess and adapt teaching strategies to support student development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education for the Visually Impaired
- Appropriate state teaching certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (or eligibility for certification)
- Strong commitment to the educational and developmental needs of visually impaired students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to work in the Lake Mary, FL area
