Procare Therapy, a leading educational staffing company, is seeking a passionate and dedicated K-12 Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of visually impaired students in the Auburn, WA area.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, focusing on the development of essential skills for independence and academic success.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Utilize adaptive technology and instructional materials to enhance the learning experience for visually impaired students.
- Assess student progress, adjust teaching strategies accordingly, and maintain detailed records of student performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods.
