Procare Therapy, a leading education staffing company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position based in Pflugerville, TX, and offers competitive hourly pay.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in K-12 settings.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and parents to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize adaptive technologies and materials to enhance the learning experience.
- Assess students' progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI).
- Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments.
- Knowledge of Braille and other adaptive technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education with a focus on visual impairment.
- Valid teaching certification for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in the state of Texas.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Contract Details:
- Full-time hours for the duration of the 2023-2024 school year.
- Contracted employment through Procare Therapy.
