Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments.
- Conduct assessments to determine students' educational needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Adapt materials and teaching strategies to accommodate visual impairments.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education with a focus on Visual Impairments.
- Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Visual Impairment or ability to obtain one.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with students with visual impairments is preferred.
