Days: Monday to Friday, 6:30 am - 3:30 pm

Caseload: Supporting Elementary Students
Caseload Size: Smaller Caseload: 1-2 Students
Our school in Kingman, AZ is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students with visual impairments, fostering their educational and personal development.
Requirements:
- Valid Arizona Teacher of the Visually Impaired Certification
- IVP Fingerprint Cards
- Previous experience working with elementary students with visual impairments is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to elementary students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum and materials to meet their needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments to determine students' educational needs and progress.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide support and training to classroom staff and parents regarding best practices for working with visually impaired students.
