TVI - Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Near Pittsburg, PA
Sunbelt is currently seeking a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) near Pittsburg, PA to assist a local district. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching students with visual impairments and will possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, including instruction in braille, orientation and mobility, and other specialized skills as needed.
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and other service providers to ensure that students with visual impairments receive appropriate accommodations and modifications in the general education setting.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided.
- Attend meetings and professional development opportunities as required by the district.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education
- Certification in teaching students with visual impairments.
- Experience working with students with visual impairments.
