Teaching for the Visually Impaired Job Open - Pflugerville, TX

ProCare Therapy is actively recruiting for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TSVI) in the Pflugerville, TX area for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour workweek, 8 hours per day, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students learning the braille code.
- Collaborate with two other TSVIs and a COMS in a team setting.
- Work with a full-time itinerant caseload, including both direct services and collaborative consult with instructional teams.
- Responsible for ARD prep and attendance, writing IEP goals, and maintaining progress data.
- Caseload includes students from Kindergarten through age 22.
- Collaborate with campus instructional teams across currently 8 campuses.
Requirements/Special Notes:
- Active state teaching license required.
- Candidate should have experience and expertise in providing instruction to students learning the braille code.
- Collaborative teamwork with other TSVIs and COMS is essential.
- The number of service minutes/students may vary based on need.
- Flexibility on work hours may be considered based on candidate availability.
Pay Rate: $30 - $40 per hour (dependent on experience, credentials, and school budget)
