Job Requirements:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with TVI endorsement
- Ability to provide direct instruction, consultation, and support to visually impaired students
- Knowledge of Braille and assistive technology
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to visually impaired students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Conduct assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Provide support and training to students, families, and educational teams
- Maintain accurate and detailed records
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in TVI and special education
