Responsibilities:
- maintaining up-to-date knowledge of curriculum content
- planning and assessment of instruction and curriculum
- maintaining classroom management
- planning and delivering effective instruction
- promoting high standards and expectations for student achievement
- communicating with students, parents, and other district employees to work on behalf of students
- promoting equity and appreciation of diversity

Qualifications:

• MA DESE Certification Teacher of the Visually Impaired (All Levels)
• Familiar with mobility training, Braille creation and teaching; ability to modify classroom procedures and environment to meet the specific needs of the visually impaired student for participation in classroom and community activities
• Master's Level Degree in Education for the Visually Impaired
