Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state teaching certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Prior experience in a school environment preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students to determine eligibility and instructional needs
- Develop and execute customized lesson plans fostering independence and academic progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, paraeducators, therapists, and parents to promote inclusive education
- Provide direct specialized instruction to students individually and in small groups

- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings
