We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team for an exciting school-based opportunity. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with visual impairments in reaching their full academic and functional potential. The position would be in Lillington, NC for the full 26/27 school year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
- Conduct assessments and assist in developing IEP goals and accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Adapt instructional materials (including Braille, large print, assistive technology)
- Support orientation and mobility needs as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Qualifications:
- Active TVI certification/licensure in NC
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Visual Impairments or related field
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
