Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
- Previous experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting preferred
- Willingness to fulfill all district credentialing processes, including background check and fingerprinting
- Ability to collaborate with teams, families, and external service providers
- Resourcefulness, flexibility, and outstanding communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments across various age groups
- Assess and adapt instructional materials for accessibility
- Serve as a consultant and advocate within multi-disciplinary teams
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
