Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification required
- Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) preferred
- Familiarity with a variety of visual impairment supports and adaptive technology
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt to changing assignments and caseload demands across multiple sites
- Successful completion of fingerprinting and district background check
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to K-12 students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide resources, strategies, and accessible materials to students and educational teams
- Consult with classroom teachers and related service staff to promote inclusion
- Track progress and maintain necessary documentation
- Support transitions between academic years and grade levels
This opportunity is offered as an on-site contract, with assignment details (number of schools, hours per week, and caseload specifics) yet to be finalized as the district organizes staffing for the coming year. Both part-time and full-time options may be available, offering flexibility for varying preferences.
