Bilingual Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Virtual - North Carolina
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide teletherapy services for students in a program based out of the North Carolina area. This is a contract opportunity for a passionate educator who thrives in a remote environment and is committed to supporting students with visual impairments through specialized instruction and collaborative services. Spanish speaking applicants heavily preferred.
As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will provide virtual instruction and support services to students with visual impairments while collaborating with families, educators, and special education teams. You will play a critical role in helping students access their educational environment and achieve their academic goals through individualized support and accommodations.
This remote TVI position offers flexibility, independence, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a virtual setting.
Responsibilities
Provide virtual direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education staff to support student success
Assist in the development and implementation of IEP goals and accommodations
Conduct assessments and progress monitoring as needed
Maintain accurate documentation and service records
Participate in virtual IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
Utilize teletherapy technology effectively to engage students and support learning
Qualifications
Active North Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification/licensure or willingness to obtain upon job offer
Previous experience working with students with visual impairments preferred
Previous virtual or teletherapy experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred
