A specialized opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher utilizing telehealth services to support students remotely. Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments via telehealth technology
- Assess individual student needs and adapt teaching methods to optimize learning outcomes
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation related to instructional goals and outcomes
- Utilize assistive technology to enhance learning and communication with students
- Maintain compliance with relevant educational standards and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI)
- Experience delivering instruction to visually impaired students, preferably in a remote or telehealth setting
- Strong knowledge of assistive technologies and adaptive teaching methodologies for visually impaired learners
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to independently manage telehealth platforms and organize virtual instructional sessions
- Reliable internet connection and appropriate technology setup to support remote teaching
