Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | North Carolina

An opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide specialized instruction and support via telehealth. This contract position focuses on delivering educational services tailored to students with visual impairments, ensuring their access to the curriculum and promoting independence.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting virtual assessments and instructional sessions for students with visual impairments
• Developing and adapting educational materials to suit individual student needs
• Collaborating with families, educational teams, and other service providers to implement effective learning strategies
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining detailed documentation
• Providing consultation on assistive technology and instructional strategies related to visual impairment

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) is required
• Experience delivering instruction through telehealth platforms preferred
• Strong understanding of visual impairment and related educational interventions
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage virtual learning environments
• Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Location: Vass, North Carolina (remote instruction via telehealth)

This contract assignment serves as a TVI backfill, with interviews already scheduled for candidates under consideration.
