- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Ability to assess individual needs and tailor instruction accordingly
- Organizational skills for effective case management and documentation
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing individualized instructional plans for students with visual impairments
- Teaching Braille literacy, orientation and mobility skills, and use of adaptive tools
- Consulting with classroom teachers to adapt materials and strategies for inclusive participation
- Supporting families with resources, progress updates, and advocacy
- Maintaining accurate records and participating in IEP meetings
- Staying current on best practices and technology advancements in the field
