Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Anoka, Minnesota

Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) or Blind/Visually Impaired (BVI) Educator
- Experience or strong interest in working within a setting serving students with significant behavioral and physical disabilities
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet individual student needs
- Collaborative approach with teachers, classroom assistants, and service providers
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to supporting students’ unique learning journeys
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments from June 8th through July 16th, Monday to Thursday, 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM (20 hours per week)
- Manage a caseload of 10-15 students within a single building, ensuring each receives personalized support
- Develop and implement adapted curriculum and accessible materials to promote academic achievement and functional independence
- Collaborate with fellow educators and therapists across various education centers (North, South, West)
- Monitor and document student progress towards IEP goals, communicating updates with families and educational teams
