What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) is required
- Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) credentials for North Dakota
- Background working in educational settings with students who are visually impaired
- Experience or enthusiasm for supporting pediatric learners through individualized instruction
- Strong communication skills and adaptability in a school environment
- Willingness to travel for a contract assignment and work full-time on campus
- Commitment to fostering a positive, collaborative atmosphere
What you’ll do:
- Provide one-on-one instruction to support a visually impaired student’s learning and development
- Develop and adapt instructional materials to meet individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to ensure educational goals are achieved
- Implement strategies and use assistive technologies that enable student access to the curriculum
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust interventions as needed
