Teacher for the Visually Impaired | Carnesville, Georgia

Qualifications and Experience:
- Current GA License for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired is required
- Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments, ideally in a school setting
- Strong collaboration skills to work alongside teachers, families, and student support staff
- Adept at developing individualized education plans and adapting materials to accommodate visual needs
- Clear communicator with a patient, compassionate approach
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instructional support and interventions based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess students’ functional vision needs and recommend appropriate equipment or accommodations
- Collaborate with educators and families to foster inclusive classroom environments
- Provide training and resources to staff and families on best practices for supporting visually impaired learners
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
