Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Colorado
A contract opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher for the Visually Impaired to provide specialized telehealth instruction. This position involves working with one student to deliver tailored educational services focused on visual impairment needs.

Service Time: Approximately 90 minutes per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to a student with visual impairments through telehealth technology.
- Develop and implement lesson plans and modify materials to accommodate the student’s visual needs.
- Utilize specialized strategies and tools to promote skill development in areas such as braille literacy, orientation and mobility, and assistive technology.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other educational professionals to ensure consistent support and progress monitoring.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress as required.
- Use Voco software effectively as part of telehealth service delivery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
- Experience providing visual impairment instruction remotely using telehealth platforms.
- Strong knowledge of vision-related educational strategies, including braille and assistive technologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and tailor instruction to a student’s individualized needs.
