Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Colorado teaching license (or eligible to obtain)
- Certification as Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- COMS (Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist) credentials preferred
- Prior experience supporting visually impaired students in school settings
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support for visually impaired students
- Assess and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide orientation and mobility training as needed
- Consult and collaborate with general education staff, families, and related service providers
- Advocate for accessible learning materials and classroom adaptations
