Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required.
  • Active state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired.
  • Prior experience delivering 1:1 instruction to pediatric students preferred.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and accessible learning strategies.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families.
  • Passion for fostering independence and success in visually impaired learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored, 1:1 instruction to a visually impaired student based on established IEP goals.
  • Modify learning materials and classroom environments to accommodate specific needs.
  • Support the student’s academic, social, and personal development within an inclusive school setting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (educators, therapists, family) to ensure integrated support.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
