Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Current Georgia Educator Certificate for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) required
- Experience working with visually impaired students in a school setting strongly preferred
- Comfortable with documenting and maintaining daily service logs
- Willingness to discuss age group preferences and expertise during the interview to ensure the best caseload match
- Commitment to in-person instruction (no virtual/VOCO applicants, onsite only)
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments in an onsite setting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily service documentation
- Collaborate closely with school staff and families to optimize support plans
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Participate in planning sessions as required, with potential pre- and post-contract days
- Remain flexible to caseload assignments, which will be determined in consultation with district leadership
