Qualifications:
- Hold a valid endorsement in Visual Impairment (VI) or a Master’s degree in an appropriate field
- Possess a current and valid teaching certificate
- Preferably have experience teaching braille

- Reliable transportation is essential, as this position is itinerant and requires travel between multiple school locations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction to elementary school students with visual impairments, supporting their individualized educational needs
- Adapt curriculum materials to braille, large print, or appropriate formats to ensure accessibility
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional vision and learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive educational environments
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, documenting progress consistently
- Provide consultation and training for staff and families to support students’ success
- Travel between assigned schools to meet the needs of students as determined by the district
