- Prior school-based experience supporting students with visual impairments (preferred)

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for cultivating accessible and engaging learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional vision and learning needs to drive instructional planning
- Deliver direct instruction in braille, orientation and mobility strategies, and use of assistive technology
- Adapt curriculum materials and activities for optimal accessibility
- Partner with classroom teachers and staff to ensure modifications and accommodations are in place
- Provide training, resources, and guidance for staff and families on best practices
- Monitor student progress, update individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain accurate records
- Advocate for students to ensure their full participation in school activities
