Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and active TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) certification required.
- Experience working within school environments, particularly with students who are blind or have visual impairments.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs, including participation in related meetings.
- Strong documentation and communication skills to effectively support IEP processes.
- Ability to adapt to a flexible caseload and collaborate with multiple education teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support as outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Provide consultation and collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers across various grade levels.
- Attend case meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEPs.
- Maintain accurate service delivery records and communication logs in compliance with district and legal standards.
- Offer indirect (non-contact) services, such as consultation and documentation, to ensure ongoing student support.
