Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois teaching license and certification for Visually Impaired required
- CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement is a must
- Demonstrated prior experience in a school-based setting
- Proficiency in conducting functional vision and media assessments
- Strong observation and reporting skills
- Ability to collaborate with educational teams and families
- Please note: No VOCO assignments permitted for this role
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough functional vision assessment and media assessment for a student
- Observe in the classroom to gather vital information on strengths and areas for support
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure a comprehensive evaluation
- Provide clear, detailed reports of findings and recommendations
- Attend a scheduled 30-minute interview as part of the selection process
