- Current Illinois License as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (IL TVI License)
- Previous classroom or one-on-one instructional experience with students who are visually impaired

- Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage with students, families, and school teams
- Passion for supporting diverse learners and promoting inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to a student’s unique visual needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with a multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusivity
- Teach students to use adaptive tools and engage in daily learning activities confidently
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians and document progress regularly
