- Excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Reliable transportation required for travel to multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support tailored to students’ IEP goals, ensuring access to the general curriculum across various elementary schools
- Assess visual functioning and develop individualized education and transition plans
- Teach core academic content using braille, large print, and other accessible methods
- Collaborate with other educators and service providers to develop accessible classroom environments and materials
- Offer training and resources to school staff and families to support inclusive education
- Regularly track and document student progress, making data-driven instructional decisions
