- A valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential authorizing Visual Impairments or a California teaching credential with authorization to teach visually handicapped students (EL CLAD)
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Experience working as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in school settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible classrooms
As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing individualized lesson plans for visually impaired students
- Adapting classroom materials and assessments for accessibility
- Collaborating with classroom teachers and educational staff for seamless student integration
- Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate student records
