Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification (required)
- Previous experience serving K-12 students with visual impairments strongly preferred
- Strong grasp of IEP process, including direct and consultative service delivery
- Effective communicator who collaborates well with a multidisciplinary educational team
- Detail-oriented in documenting service delivery and maintaining IEP-related communication
- Reliable, responsive, and committed to fostering inclusive educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and consultative special education services for students per their IEPs
- Provide indirect support, such as progress documentation and ensuring accurate IEP compliance
- Attend IEP meetings and collaborate with general and special education staff as requested
- Serve as an advocate and resource for students, staff, and families across multiple locations
- Offer adaptive strategies, materials, and technology to maximize student learning outcomes
