This onsite, contract opportunity offers you the chance to travel between multiple school sites, serving a diverse caseload ranging from preschool to transition-age students. As a Vision Related Services Leader, your expertise will not only enhance students’ educational journeys, but also mentor and guide colleagues to excel in their practice.
Your responsibilities in this rewarding position will include:
- Delivering high-quality instruction and services to visually impaired students in Pre-K through transitional programs
- Providing guidance, mentorship, and training for both new and seasoned staff within the Vision Services Department
- Supporting families and school personnel with best practices and resources tailored for visually impaired learners
- Collaboratively problem-solving and advocating for the needs and resources necessary for staff success
- Traveling between multiple schools within the district to provide itinerant support and expertise
To thrive in this position, candidates should have:
- An active Professional Educator’s License (PEL) with the appropriate endorsement to teach students with visual impairments
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of five years of school-based experience serving students with visual impairments
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching abilities
- Passion for collaboration and fostering inclusive education environments
- Willingness to complete required fingerprinting and credentialing procedures prior to start date
