Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative TVI services in alignment with student goals
- Adapt and modify instructional materials for accessibility
- Support development of compensatory and functional skills essential for academic and daily success
- Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintain detailed records and regularly communicate student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative educational plans
Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification/licensure (check state-specific guidelines)
- Experience with elementary-age students preferred
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to individualize instruction based on student needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
