Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Active state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Previous experience working in a pediatric or school setting preferred
- Strong ability to collaborate with other educators and support staff
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered teaching
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, one-on-one instructional support to students with visual impairments
- Develop and adapt educational materials and lesson plans to meet each child’s unique needs
- Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to ensure ongoing development
