Essential Qualifications:
- Credentialed as a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experienced in providing direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments in school settings
- Adept in working collaboratively with school teams, families, and related service providers
- Strong communication and organizational abilities to manage changing caseloads
- Commitment to fostering independent skills and accessible learning opportunities
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to unique visual learning needs
- Participate in the assessment and development of individualized education plans
- Adapt curriculum and materials to ensure accessibility and inclusion
- Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies and supports as required
- Serve as an educational resource to classroom teachers and staff, promoting awareness and advocacy
- Travel between school sites as a floating TVI professional, as caseload is assigned
