Qualifications & Required Experience:
- Active Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification
- Previous experience working with students who are visually impaired is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Braille and assistive technologies for visual impairments
- Strong collaboration skills with educational staff, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
- Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to adapt curriculum materials
- Conduct assessments and participate in developing IEPs
- Provide consultative services and recommendations regarding classroom modifications
- Offer ongoing guidance to student support teams and families
