What you’ll bring:
- Active Texas TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) licensure
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Experience working with visually impaired students across K-12 settings
- Flexibility for itinerant travel between schools
- Compassion, adaptability, and strong communication skills
In this role, you will:
- Provide tailored educational support to 12-15 visually impaired students, including 3+ homebound learners
- Travel between approximately six campuses as assigned
- Adapt instruction to each student’s IEP and evolving needs
- Collaborate closely with special education teams and families
- Offer expertise in Braille, assistive technology, and orientation & mobility training
