This full-time, on-site position runs from late July through May, providing a dynamic school-year assignment. As an itinerant Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you’ll work across approximately six campuses with a fluid caseload, offering meaningful support and guidance to students ranging from elementary to high school age. Qualifications:
- Active Texas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TSVI) license required
- Experience with visually impaired students (homebound experience is a plus)
- Strong communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to student-centered educational practices
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support for students with visual impairments (ages and caseload 12–15 students)
- Serve multiple campuses as an itinerant TVI
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education staff, families, and other specialists
- Adapt curriculum/materials to meet accessibility needs
