Assistive Technology Therapist Specialist in Gilbert, AZ

You'll collaborate with educational teams to assess student needs and ensure access to vital assistive technology. What you’ll do:
- Conduct in-depth AAC evaluations for students ranging from kindergarten to grade 12
- Assess individual student communication and technology needs in academic settings
- Recommend appropriate solutions such as speech-generating devices, communication apps, picture communication systems, and switch-access technology
- Design and present thorough written recommendations, ensuring students have access to the tools they need for educational success
- Serve as a resource to staff and families on assistive technology implementation
- Stay current with the latest AAC solutions and best practices
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid CCC-SLP
- Active Arizona SLP license
- Extensive experience with AAC, including device evaluations and preparing reports
- Prior background as an Assistive Technology Specialist or evaluator in educational settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide clear, concise recommendations for diverse student needs
