Assistive Technology Therapist Specialist in Norco, CA

Openings are available for immediate start and will continue through the end of the school year. Candidates will be assigned full-time hours, working on-site at several school locations within the area. You will be supporting students with diverse needs, ensuring equal access to educational materials and enhancing their overall learning experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid California license in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
- Meet state and educational agency requirements for Assistive Technology professionals, which may include formal degrees or industry-recognized credentials
- Previous experience working in a school setting is required
- Demonstrated knowledge of current assistive technology devices, platforms, and best practices
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments to identify student needs for assistive technology
- Recommend, implement, and support the use of appropriate assistive devices and software
- Train students and staff on the use of assistive technology
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to ensure student success
