Teacher of Visually Impaired in Ashland, OR

Essential Qualifications:
- Valid Oregon TVI Certification/Licensure required
- Experience instructing or supporting students with visual impairments in K-12 settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt instructional materials and environments for varied levels of visual impairment
- Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations related to visual needs
- Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in multi-site or remote settings
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, ensuring access to curriculum
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) in collaboration with IEP teams
- Assess and monitor students’ progress, adjusting methods and materials as needed
- Train and support classroom teachers and staff on best practices and accommodations
- Travel between assigned school sites within specified counties, as required
- Participate in team meetings, student evaluations, and ongoing professional development
